arrived – Hanoi Vietnam

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAll the dogs seem to be dressed here, styles rivaling the male prostitutes roaming the back streets of San Fran. This included dogs with arse-less chaps and others with coats possibly made from a distant relative.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a glimpse into the streets of the old quarter in Hanoi, for me these streets seem to capture me coupled with the food stalls and family gathering it is romantic in a frantic kind of way.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis was our first meal in Vietnam for an outrageous $1.50! After we navigated our way through broken English and one foot high plastic stools we dug into what we could only assess as a meat dish with noodles. After dousing it with an unknown substance form a coke bottle and a room temperature beer could finally relax knowing that this was officially the start of the journey. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Can you please have a plate of sparrows. Usually served with a lime coriander and msg. You don’t eat the feet. I think the dog is better in thiland. Also post the toilet of the day as you promised.

Yes, but WHAT was that meat? Don’t they eat dog in Vietnam? Is that why they treat them so well, cloth them, make them feel comfy? Can you check out that urban myth for me while your there? Also why is Rhidian wearing a beanie? And the dogs, coats? Is it cold? I don’t get THAT! Isn’t it supposed to be the tropics there; hot and wet and steamy? ‘Tis here.

  5. Sav says:

    Haha…arse less chap dog pants.

p.s. Custom’s confiscated your item…sorry, not even a bribe of a lock of Rhid’s sunshine hair would convince them otherwise
p.p.s only joking, they just ripped it apart with a knife and pulled the stuffing out to check if there was any dissolve narcotics within
p.p.p.s seriously just kidding, it’s home safe and poppy will be using it and keeping it warm until your return 😉

Hi Sarah, good to see you made it safely . So did you find out exactly what you were eating? We hope it wasn’t anything too exotic or domestic. Hehe! It looked yummy anyway, and very affordable. Where are you now? Love Doug & Mum xxx
